ashley sk davis, executive & Artistic director
Ashley SK Davis (formally Ashley L. Sullivan-Kirksey) is a native of Wilmington, Delaware. She began her stage career at the age of 3 and is formally trained in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, African dance forms, and Irish Step dancing. A graduate of Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, Ashley was quite involved with the arts while on campus. As a member of the Spelman College Dance Theatre and Mahogany in Motion Dance Team, Ashley studied under Nathan Trice, a regular choreographer for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. In addition to the countless productions in which she performed, she also directed and choreographed for several shows including the Ms. Spelman Coronation for Spelman College and the Miss Black and Gold Pageant for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. Ashley’s dance credits also include serving as a dancer for Usher and an assistant choreographer for Six Flags Fright Fest. In 2007, Ashley's choreography was presented as a part of the Spelman College Department of Drama and Dance 75th Anniversary Celebration, which included a new stage play by Pearl Cleage about the life of Coretta Scott King. In addition to serving as the Executive and Artistic Director of Pieces of a Dream, Inc., Ashley is also a Teaching Artist in Drama and Dance for the Delaware Institute for the Arts in Education (DIAE) and the Wolf Trap Institute, an organization dedicated to arts-infused early education. Ashley also teaches for Steppin' Out Dance Center (Oxford, PA) and First State Ballet Theatre (Wilmington, DE).
Monique Antiona Bland
Monique Antonia Bland is a Delaware native who started her training at the age of 3 with Christina Cultural Arts Center. Inspired deeply by the art of ballet, she then transitioned to the Wilmington Ballet Academy of Dance to receive classical training. Wanting to experience the best of both worlds, Monique attended the American Musical and Dramatics Academy where she received her BFA in Dance Performance. Since graduating she has been welcomed to perform with companies based in the tristate area.
ephesia moody
Ephesia Moody is a passionate and creative choreographer as well as teaching artist. She has 18 years of dance experience and technical training. She is an alumna of POAD Academy and P*D2 and current faculty member. She is also the current modern/hip hop instructor at Wilmington Ballet Academy. Ephesia is a Senior at Delaware State University where she is studying Business Management. She currently is the 2022-23 Co-Captain of D’Elegance dance team.
Taylor Leigh Richardson
Taylor Leigh Richardson is from New Castle, Delaware and a current Rising Senior at Towson University with a BFA in Performance & Choreography and a concentration in Pre-K to 12 Education and a minor in interdisciplinary studies. Her goals include working in Urban Public schools as a Dance Educator and Arts integration advocate and advancing choreography as it relates to socio-cultural issues. Taylor is an alumna of Pieces of a Dream Academy of Dance and P*D2.
